| What
is OffSite? |
| |
OffSite is a stand-alone database system
that your external sales force can use to:
- Proactively
market to prospects using the built in contact
manager and activity calendar.
- Generate
quotes utilizing pricing that you develop. Quotes
are deliverd to customers via email or fax.
- Enter sales
orders that are then emailed to your main office
for processing.

|
| How
can it benefit my company? |
| |
There are 3 main benefits to your external
sales force using OffSite:
- Your salespeople
are armed with a "mini-version" of your
OnSite system that allows them to manage their work
each day. Information can be transferred (pricing
tables, vendor parts lists, marketing prospects)
from your main OnSite system to your salespeople
in the field using OffSite.
- No more double data
entry for sales orders! Salespeople in the field
enter sales orders into their OffSite systems and
email them to the main office where they are copied,
pasted, and converted to sales orders in your OnSite
system. This will save your order entry personnel
at the main office hours of tedious order entry
each day.
- Your customers get
consistent presentation and pricing from your company,
whether they are working with an in-house customer
service person or your main office.

Is OffSite cost-effective? |
| |
OffSite makes your salesperson in the
field more effective, and reduces the amount of time
to enter sales orders. A single user version of OffSite
is $699. If that salesperson uses OffSite for 2 years
your cost is around $1.50 per day.
Lets look at it another
way. Say you can save 10 minutes per sales order in
processing at your main office. With OffSite, orders
are copied and pasted into your main system instead
of re-entered by hand when sent in by the salesperson.
If the average salesperson is sending in 200 orders
per year, that is over 33 hours of saved time in order
entry alone. This can add up to $400-500 in savings
per year. The more orders the salesperson sends in,
the more your savings add up.
|
|
| How
is the information transferred to my sales persons? |
| |
OffSite users do not have "real-time"
access to your OnSite system. Periodically (you decide
when), you can send them update information for their
customers, designs, pricing and other information.
When they get a sales
order it is entered into their OffSite system and
emailed to the main office where it is "cut and
pasted" into OnSite.
|
|
| Are
there any limitations to OffSite? |
| |
OffSite is designed specifically for
the salesperson working on the road or from home.
The functions in OnSite are limited to sales functions
(prospect management, quotes and order entry). If
you need to do accounting or other functions from
a remote location, or need a user to have real-time
access, you will need a direct connection to your
OnSite system.
|
|
| Do
I have to own ShopWorks OnSite to use OffSite? |
| |
Yes. Only licensed companies using
OnSite can purchase OffSite licenses for their sales
force. The two programs work hand-in-hand to provide
a total solution for managing your distibuted sales
force.
